Thanks for stopping by my policies page!
Every item is individually made by me, here in my studio in Leicester.

All the hats, fascinators, headpieces and brooches are made to meet the highest standards from the highest quality materials.

Some of the items listed on the website are made to order, so please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery, more during the holiday season and peak season.

Most of the items are one-of-a-kind pieces, so if you want to purchase a hat(or an exact replica), please contact me for more detailed information and delivery times.

Made to order

Bespoke hats from Giulia Mio Haute Couture Millinery are custom made, based on your individual requirements.

Ordering a bespoke hat allows you to select the perfect style, material and colour to create a show stopper piece that complements your outfit.

You can place an order for your bespoke piece by contacting me via e-mail directly or mobile phone.

If you would like to pay a visit to the studio, please contact me to book an appointment and I will show you a selection of styles, colours and materials, guiding and advising you on your choice. 

Where possible, you will be asked to bring your outfit, so that I can create a perfect match for your special occasion.


The first consultation is totally free, and it will take about 45-60 min. During the meeting, I will take your head measurements and a couple of pictures of your face, to make sure to proportion and tailor the hat on you. I will also need information about the occasion you need the hat for and a final delivery date.

I will then sketch a few designs, following the directions we agreed on during the meeting and email/message them to you within 5 days.

When agreed on a style, material and colour, you will be required to pay a deposit payment (not refundable) equal to 30% of the initial budget.

Note that the initial budget for bespoke hats may vary during the making process, but any change will be previously discussed and agreed between the two parties.


After receiving the deposit, I will start to make your hat. Please allow up to 3 weeks for any bespoke hat to be delivered. If you need your hat very quickly, I will be happy to give it the priority, when possible, but an extra fee will be added (20% of the final price).

You will be constantly updated with pictures and information, so if there are any changes that you require during the making process, I will be able to arrange them. Note that any major alteration, change or addition of materials, will affect the initial quote.

To obtain a perfect final result, I suggest at least one fitting session before the final delivery.


Refund & Exchanges

All my creations are 100% satisfaction guarantee.


Minor alterations of any bespoke hat previously made by me are free, though you pay to ship both ways (this service does NOT include re-trimming or major alterations)

All hats ordered contacting me directly via website/email, following the costumer's requests(colour, size, etc) are to be considered bespoke "made to order". I do not offer return or refund for hats made using this service.



If you are buying from one of my stockists and you're not happy with your choice, I will apply the shop's return/refund policy.


The same policy applies to one-of-a-kind hats purchased "as seen" in any store/pop-up shop.


In the exceptional situation where I agree on making a replica (when possible)of a one-of-a-kind hat, that piece is then considered bespoke, and it can not be returned/refunded.


Bespoke hats, fascinators and headpieces are not returnable nor refundable, but the same alteration policy applies (again you're liable for shipping).

Please be aware that colours will vary between monitor screens. If you are unsure of the shade, please ask for a colour swatch.

Once you approve the colour swatch, I will then start making your hat. If you do not request a colour swatch, then you may not return a hat because you are unhappy with the shade of colour. 

If an item returns as an unclaimed package, I will not be responsible for any shipping fees and the item will be re-listed, unless the buyer asks for the item to be reshipped at their own expense.
